Mississippi River Paddle

Location:  We will leave PAL at 9:30am

Time: 9:30am - 2:30pm (Please see note below.)

~ THIS EVENT IS EARLIER THAN USUAL - WE WILL BE LEAVING PAL AT 9:30AM AND RETURNING BY 2:30pm. ~

Things to bring:

• sunglasses
• sunscreen
• warm hat
• comfortable shorts or pants (ideally nylon or other fabric that dries quickly)
• rain gear
• shoes that you can get wet!

SEPTEMBER 21st

Medtronic

Location:  4600 Nathan Lane North in Plymouth, MN – Entrance - Main lobby on the NW corner of the building.

Time: We will leave PAL at 1:30 and return around 4:30 - 5:00

Several SWE (Society of Women Engineers) members will be at the event.

You will go through a product fair of what the engineers build, where and how our product is used and how they build it. You will take a tour of the facility and lines in the plant.

We are visiting a medical device manufacturing facility so we will need to adhere to a dress code. It’s very casual on a Saturday (jeans and t-shirts) in the facility.

• No makeup
• Closed toe shoes, socks are required
• No tank tops, short sleeve shirts are fine
• No ripped clothing, long pants
• No glitter or fuzzy clothing

We will need a headcount as we get closer to make sure there are safety glasses and smocks ready for everyone.

OCTOBER 13th

Youth Performance Company

Location: Howard Conn Fine Arts Center, Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis, 55414

Time:  We will leave PAL at 1:15 or you can meet us at Howard Conn Fine Arts Center (Performance starts at 2:00pm)

NOVEMBER 9th

Hats & Mittens

Location: 15406 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka, MN

Time: We will leave PAL at 1:30 or you can meet us at the warehouse. The event will start at 2:00pm.

We will be volunteering and filling Hats & Mittens requests. This is an event you can use to fulfill a volunteer requirement at school!

Hats & Mittens has partnered with wonderful organizations serving children and youth in the metro area over the past twenty years! Our goal is to recognize and celebrate the work of small and emerging non-profits, while raising funds that will be transformational for their organizations. We are investing in organizations ready to move to the next level in capacity and service.
